The Tesla Water Treatment Facility in Tracy supplies safe drinking water to approximately 2.5 million Bay Area residents. Operated by the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC), it is one of the largest ultraviolet (UV) water treatment facilities in North America and is named after the area's historic Tesla coal mine.

As Design Lead for the proposed facility, Wing Lee developed a façade concept inspired by the rolling hills of California. The design offers a simple, cost-effective architectural expression while thoughtfully integrating the public art program required by the San Francisco Arts Commission, allowing the building itself to become a civic landmark.
